Shift: Sunday- Tuesday every other Wednesday 6am-6pm

 

The Industrial Engineer I will apply fundamental engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs within Jabil's operations. This role involves analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and quality.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Analyze current manufacturing processes, workflows, and production layouts to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Develop and implement solutions using industrial engineering methodologies, such as time studies, motion studies, and process mapping.
• Design and optimize work methods, equipment utilization, and material flow to maximize output and minimize waste.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation studies to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and machinery.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and work standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to implement engineering changes and process improvements.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring efficient and manufacturable designs.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collect and analyze data to track performance metrics, identify trends, and measure the impact of implemented solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.

 

Job Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, time studies, process mapping, capacity planning).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, JMP).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
