Job Duties:

• Support safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents’ rights;
• Coordinate projects maintenance and upkeep with Administrator/Office Manager and home office;
• Ensure compliance with AHJ.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on, including but not limited to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance relating to maintenance;
• Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance
• Assure that all safety equipment is in proper working order
• Provide finish work, surface repair, painting,
• Assist in planning and implementing large projects.
• Document work in the manner required by home office
• Be willing and able to assist in other departments of the community

Requirements

Qualifications and Job Skills:

• Previous experience working with seniors, or long-term care, is a plus!
• Must pass a criminal background check & motor vehicle record check
• Must be willing to work some nights and weekends (as needed for emergencies)
• Must be able to follow safety regulations
• Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep
• Must have strong communication skills & dedication to customer service
• Must have computer skills
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds routinely
• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach and climb ladders
