Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supply & Inventory Planning Excellence
- Lead and manage Global Deployment, Supply, and Inventory Planning operations across the region
- Review safety stock levels and replenishment plans for distribution centers.
- Address potential backorder risks by coordinating with global demand planners and regional teams.
- Drive adoption of best-in-class planning methodologies (e.g., DRP, inventory optimization, safety stock strategies, multi-echelon planning)
- Optimize inventory positioning, service levels, and working capital across markets
- Ensure alignment between supply, demand, and deployment planning to improve network efficiency
- Review and recommend any required change in master data to ensure smooth planning process( as per responsibility)
- Address system issue with IT Team to improve departmental efficiency by highlighting day to day challenges in planning process.
2. Transformation & Digital Enablement
- Lead planning transformation initiatives, including process redesign and standardization across markets and BUs
- Drive adoption of digital planning tools and analytics (e.g., Power BI dashboards, automation, control tower visibility)
- Enable a data-driven planning culture with improved decision-making through advanced analytics and insights
- Partner with IT and cross-functional teams on system enhancements (SAP, Kinaxis, Power Platform, etc.)
3. Performance Management & Governance
- Define and track key KPIs (e.g., OTIF, Inventory Turns, Backorder %, Fill Rate, Cycle Time)
- Lead S&OE governance cadence (e.g., monthly GA BDX S&OE) to proactively manage revenue risks and supply constraints
- Ensure adherence to standardized processes, planning policies, and governance frameworks
4. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across network planning, deployment, and inventory management
- Lead and participate in projects to improve supply chain processes, such as automation and safety stock analysis, etc.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce variability, and enhance supply reliability
- Embed BD Excellence principles and sustain improvements through robust governance
5. Change Management & Capability Building
- Define and execute change management strategies for planning transformation initiatives
- Build and strengthen planning capabilities within the team, including leadership bench strength
- Develop structured training programs on planning methodologies, tools, and systems
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Global Transportation, Operations, Market Planning, and Network Planning teams
- Influence cross-functional decision-making to optimize end-to-end supply chain outcomes
- Represent Supply Planning in regional and global forums
7. Additional Responsibilities
- Support strategic and ad-hoc initiatives as required
