Job Description Summary

In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the global supply chain commodity strategy for Hot Gas Path Post Cast Processing, focused on the Americas supply base. You will also be supporting the global strategy development for post cast operations. You will need to flex from tactical execution of in year business objectives to multiyear strategies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development & execution of global commodity supply chain strategies focused post cast operations, like machining, grinding, drilling, coating, brazing, EDM ..etc. 
  • Partner with cross functional peers in order to promote long term sustainable solutions for the component value stream and sourcing organization.  Partnership examples but limited to, EHS, Product Management, Material Management, Quality, Finance and Design Engineering. 
  • Interface with Business Leaders and functional owners to understand business priorities and determine appropriate commodity strategies.
  • Develop a strategic long-term road map as well as key short term business commitments. Communicate accordingly and establishing a reporting rigor for metrics and execution.
  • Work cross functionally to develop optimal buy strategies to optimize business objectives. 
  • Lead Sourcing initiatives including but not limited to safety and compliance goals, productivity/ cost , rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, Lean implementation, and cash flow improvement.
  • Develop negotiations strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives in accordance with the strategy, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management.
  • Manage strategic and tactical execution rhythms for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost as needed.
  • Work globally to support the Americas and Global HGP strategy.
  • All other job functions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). 
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree  from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
  • A minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Sourcing, Supplier Quality and / or Supply Chain.
  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: Willingness and ability to travel at least 35%

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
