The consultant plays a critical role in client retention, revenue protection, and account growth by delivering technical safety program assessments, OSHA compliance guidance, carrier inspection support, and proactive loss prevention recommendations. This position serves clients across a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to construction, warehousing and distribution, manufacturing, transportation and fleet operations, commercial real estate, commercial laundry and linen services, hospitality, and other complex operational environments. The role is instrumental in protecting key client relationships, supporting renewal success, reducing operational risk, and delivering measurable value to both clients and the organization.

  • Review safety manuals, policies, written programs, procedures, and recordkeeping practices.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate compliance requirements to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support audits, carrier inspections, regulatory inspections, and corrective action planning.
  • Serve as a client advocate during carrier inspections, risk assessments, and underwriting reviews.
  • Assist clients in addressing compliance deficiencies and underwriting concerns.
  • Recommend operational and procedural enhancements to improve regulatory readiness and reduce liability exposures.

Training & Education

  • Deliver client training programs, workshops, and safety meetings.
  • Provide supervisory and management training focused on injury prevention, hazard recognition, and risk management.
  • Develop educational materials, toolbox talks, safety communications, and best-practice resources.
  • Facilitate employee safety orientation and ongoing safety education initiatives.
  • Promote risk awareness, accountability, and a culture of workplace safety and compliance.
  • Support clients in developing sustainable safety leadership and training programs.

Claims & Risk Analysis

  • Review claims data, OSHA logs, incident reports, loss runs, and carrier feedback.
  • Identify trends, root causes, emerging risk patterns, and opportunities for intervention.

  • Assist in evaluating reserve trends, frequency drivers, severity indicators, and loss development patterns.

  • Collaborate with producers, account executives, account managers, carrier partners, and external vendors.
  • Support retention of key accounts through proactive consultation, technical expertise, and responsive client service.
