About the Role:
Are you someone who enjoys working with details, solving problems, and making sure things are done the right way? Dieterich Bank is looking for a Risk Specialist to join our team and help ensure we remain compliant with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.
In this role, you'll work closely with our Risk & BSA team to monitor compliance programs, review transactions and accounts, assist with audits and regulatory requests, and help identify and resolve potential risks. What You'll Do:
- Anti-Money Laundering and Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) / Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- Verification of CTRs & submission through the Verafin software.
- Annual review of CTR exempt customers.
- New account due diligence review against the Bank's Customer Identification Program and extending review to the bank subsidiary (Prime Equipment Finance LLC). Review daily Monarch CIF Relationship Changes Report. Track and report missing items until resolution
- Review & clear low-level alerts from the Verafin software
- Assist the BSA Officer & Assistant BSA Officer as needed in investigations
- Verification of CTRs & submission through the Verafin software.
- Review and action the Money Instrument Report for cash transactions of $3,000 to $10,000
- Review and action the Dormancy/FDICIA Control Report
- Assist with any internal compliance reviews
- Assist regulators and external auditors with providing documents for 3rd party reviews
- Answer questions and provide support for issues and questions initiated in the Risk & Compliance Help Desk
- Maintain job knowledge through attendance at webinars
- Nasdaq Verafin clean up and maintenance of RDC, ACH, Foreign Individuals, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, with a typical schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed based on business needs.
You may also have the opportunity to travel to other branches for quarterly training or position-specific training. Some training may take place outside of the local area.
