Directs and coordinates new product launches, product line extensions and major product change projects for customers. This includes the coordination of project requirements among all internal functional departments and communication of project status to Senior Management and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Serves as primary liaison to the customer for project related activities and communications with the internal project stakeholders in the Sales, Engineering, Operations, M&E, Validation, Procurement, Warehouse and Quality teams concerning project issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Commercial Project Manager II position. Other duties may also be assigned.
Maintains overall responsibility for compliance with the Sharp Project Management PMO Processes:
- Maintains Project Toolkit Sheets for all active projects, including Project Charter, Meeting Notes, and Project Schedule at a minimum.
- Schedules, facilitates, documents, and communicates project meetings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on overall completion timing for the project.
- Maintains file storage on the X-Drive for all project related documents and categorizes documentation per approved work instruction.
- Attends weekly Tier 2 Meetings with direct manager and peers and provides updates on key project activities and notes any barriers that need assistance to keep projects on schedule. Provides escalation requests as needed.
- Attends weekly T-21 Meetings to provide updates on pre-production readiness of project documentation to support production.
- Attends monthly project financial review meetings to provide updates on project related POs that need to be entered into the ERP system and expected sales orders confirmation dates. Discuss project billables and customer quotes that need updates. Completes time-sheets at month end for all project related hours.
- Hands-off completed projects to the Order Management Team along with the appropriate checklist for all project related documents.
PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university preferred, not required; or a minimum of five years related and documented project management experience and/or training in a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience. PMP Certification or structured Project Management training course completion is preferred.
