Calling all innovators – find your future at Fiserv.
We're Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments, and we move money and information in a way that moves the world. We connect financial institutions, corporations, merchants, and consumers to one another millions of times a day – quickly, reliably, and securely. Any time you swipe your credit card, pay through a mobile app, or withdraw money from the bank, we're involved. If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.
About this role:
This role is a Tier 1 Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst position on Fiserv's Cyber Threat Management team, combining security operations and incident response responsibilities to help protect our enterprise environment. This will be a 2nd shift role with a working schedule of 12:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m., Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.
You'll bring foundational SOC or threat intelligence knowledge, contribute to a team that provides 24/7 coverage through hand-offs to our India-based team, and grow your skills alongside teammates who value collaboration over working solo.
What you’ll do:
Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts, working issues from detection through resolution.
Apply foundational security operations and/or threat intelligence knowledge to identify and respond to emerging threats.
Use tools such as CrowdStrike and Splunk (or other SIEM/SOAR platforms) to detect, investigate, and document security events.
Clearly explain technical findings and security concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Collaborate with teammates on incident response, discussing and troubleshooting issues together rather than working in isolation.
Work a scheduled shift (12:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m., Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday) and hand off coverage to the India-based overnight team.
Support clear hand-off documentation to ensure continuity of coverage across shifts and regions.
Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you’ll need to have:
At least 1 year of security operations, SOC, or threat intelligence experience, or other closely related cybersecurity experience.
Familiarity with CrowdStrike and/or Splunk.
Strong communication skills – able to explain technical security topics clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Ability to describe, in detail, how you've used the security tools on your resume in day-to-day work.
A collaborative mindset – comfortable discussing and working through issues as part of a team rather than presenting as the sole expert.
Willingness and ability to work a shift schedule of 12:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m., Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.
Experience that would be great to have:
Exposure to Wiz or other cloud security posture management tools.
Experience with any SIEM or SOAR platform beyond CrowdStrike/Splunk.
Prior experience supporting a 24/7 or globally distributed security operations team.
Interest in growing into more senior incident response or threat management responsibilities over time.
How you’ll work:
This role can be based in Berkeley Heights, NJ or Alpharetta, GA; Both locations will be considered based on candidate fit and experience.
New Jersey-based associates in this role work in-office 2 days per week given weekend coverage requirements.
Travel:
Minimal travel is expected for this role.

Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered.
