Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Permit Holder in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers and team members while responding to security-related concerns. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store customers, associates, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and access-control concerns; document incidents and complete required reports accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while following applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
