Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Badge Check Patrol in CENTRAL VALLEY, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and use technology to document activity. Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and shoppers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout luxury retail sales areas, entrances, stockroom access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to employee-only areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of customer and visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
