This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.
Summary of the Manager, Engineering
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager to lead our product development team in India. We are looking for a leader with a strong technical and architectural background who can actively contribute to technical design and architecture decisions while guiding the team toward building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including .NET Developers, Database Developers, QA, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Microsoft technologies, AWS, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and web.
Responsibilities for the Manager, Engineering
Lead and mentor a diverse team of full stack developers in Agile/Scrum environment
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements
Contribute to technology roadmap and modernization initiatives
Drive the software development process from planning, design, and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance
Promote the use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve code quality, accelerate development, and enhance team productivity
Encourage continuous evaluation and adoption of emerging AI technologies to optimize workflows and reduce manual effort.
Ensure that the team follows best practices, coding standards, and quality
guidelines to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders
Work closely with the US-based teams to align development efforts with the overall company strategy and vision
Perform people management duties, and provide mentorship that encourages the culture of continuous learning
Qualifications of the Manager, Engineering
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in software development, with extensive expertise in Microsoft technologies, 5+ years leading engineering teams.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large development teams (15+ members) in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience in AWS Cloud Services
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and ability to integrate them into team workflows
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Manager, Engineering
Sound knowledge of database management systems, with hands-on experience in SQL Server
Deep understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and tools
Familiarity with additional infrastructure and services such as New Relic, SSRS, and Microservices Architecture
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Expertise in scalable architecture, API design, and integration patterns
