Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Operations Director to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operations of multiple properties within a designated region. The successful candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, a thorough understanding of facility management principles, and a track record of delivering excellent service. The Regional Operations Lead will be responsible for managing a team of facilities professionals, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards, optimizing cost-efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards across the regional portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations of all facilities across the whole portfolio, leading the team of Regional Facilities Managers who support their individual countries for all day to day facilities management services.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Regional Facilities Management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, career development and expertise enhancement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for facility management in alignment with scope of services and client requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, finance, engineering, HSSE and sustainability to ensure seamless execution of facility-related activities.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service level agreements to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness against SLA’s and KPI’s
- Support Regional FM’s to develop and manage baseline for each building, closely monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings in line with glidepath and shared savings and costs avoidance.
- HSSE – work with HSSE lead to ensure that all sites are fully audited and facilities inspected to identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive Innovation, Sustainability & Social Enterprise KPI requirements in region, leveraging industry knowledge, vendor relationships and cross account best practice.
- Drive ESG opportunities for deliver Sustainable Operations and meet client Net Zero target
- Support Regional FM teams with compliance at local, state, and country level, as well as industry standards pertaining to safety, environmental sustainability, and accessibility.
- Monitor and manage regional service performance in relation to asset management, PPM performance, supply chain performance via Corrigo.
- Support preparation of all reporting provided by the PMO / BI lead to the client – MMR, QBR, annual review.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with country and regional leads within the client team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of facility management principles, building systems, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other facility management software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) are desirable.
