Title: Marketing & Business Development Specialist
Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
The Marketing & Business Development Specialist supports UCP leadership in marketing and business plans. This position is responsible for providing support that assists in effectively marketing the organization, strengthening relationships in the communities and with referral partners, supporting growth and expansion of UCP programs.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist UCP leadership and Business Development staff in building relationships with referral partners and other service providers.
· Prepare and manage timelines for marketing projects, working closely with UCP Management.
· Coordinate and oversee participation in community events and marketing opportunities that promote UCP services.
· Assist in developing and coordinating UCP Fundraising Events.
· Assists UCP Directors in identifying and coordinating outreach opportunities that promote UCP programs and services to a variety of stakeholders.
· Responsible for seeking and coordinating the application for grants that help to support UCP’s mission and specific needs not funded by operations.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge in field, actively participating in professional development, in-services, training and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
· Take active steps toward improving job performance by pursuing goals identified in annual performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and constructive feedback from management and/or peers.
DOCUMENTATION & WRITING
· Complete documentation and writing responsibilities in a timely, accurate, actual, objective, detailed, and neat manner using correct spelling and grammar.
· Review, sign, and document appropriate action on all reports in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience preferred but not required.
· A valid State of Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance and be willing to use his/her reliable transportation for work.
PHYSICAL
- Good physical skills, be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 20 pounds and push and pull against potential resistance.
- Adequate vision, reading skills, writing and documentation skills and hearing to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
