Description
JD- Geotechnical Engineer
- The role is generally office based with requirements to conduct site inspections on and as need basis.
- Provide geotechnical design input, assessments, and reviews to support and assist the design teams and projects including preparing a geotechnical interpretative report and geotechnical design report.
- Take charge of day-to-day geotechnical design works.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess site conditions.
- Review design assumptions and develop workable geotechnical design solutions.
- Liaise with the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and other team members to discuss on technical matters/solutions on a regular basis and as needed.
Job Specification
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering (preferably Master in Geotechnical Engineering).
- A proven track record in geotechnical investigation, ground interpretation and the design of deep and shallow foundations, slopes, piles, retaining wall, ground improvement and other related infrastructure works.
- Registration with BEM required.
- 3 - 5 years’ minimum experience in geotechnical fields in a consulting environment.
- Appropriate experiences in the use of software for geotechnical design (Plaxis-2D, Slope-W, Seep-W, Piglet, Repute, Midas GTS etc). Experience with Plaxis 3D or similar software would be an advantage.
