Onsite – Buffalo, NYAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Test Equipment in our Space & Defense Group you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles. This position can be located in either East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ relevant technical experience
Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills
Solid modeling and drafting experience a plus
Doors experience a plus
Background in hydraulics preferred
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer -Test Equipment, you will be responsible for:
Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
Design hydraulic / pneumatic schematics to support new test system designs.
Integrate hydraulic components into higher level test systems.
Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your
development activities.
Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
Independently initiate and perform specialized research.
Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.
Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.
Mentor younger engineers where and when appropriate

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $125,000.00–$150,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
