ACCIONA has partnered with Sydney Water and SMEC to form the Malabar System Alliance, delivering a ten year, multi billion dollar program to expand and modernise Sydney's wastewater network. The first stage upgrades the Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities, improving resilience and sustainability for two million residents.
About Opportunity
We're looking for a Safety Advisor to join the Malabar System Alliance, working across the Liverpool and Glenfield project sites. Reporting to the Alliance HSE Manager, you'll provide hands on safety support to construction teams, help embed strong safety culture and work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and the broader project team to keep everyone on site safe.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
Advise site teams on safe work practices and legislation
Conduct inspections, audits and safety walks
Investigate incidents and identify corrective actions
Deliver toolbox talks and safety inductions
Maintain safety documentation and reporting systems
Support subcontractor safety compliance
Drive continuous improvement in safety performance
Required Skills and Competencies
Diploma or Certificate IV in WHS or related field
Experience in a construction or infrastructure safety role
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and codes of practice
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Construction industry white card and relevant safety tickets
