Description
- Inpatient Care: Perform bedside swallow studies, establish diet recommendations, and monitor high-acuity patients on the inpatient units.
- Outpatient Care: Conduct Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) and deliver speech therapy evaluations and targeted interventions for outpatient populations.
- Evaluations & Care Plans: Design, implement, and dynamically revise comprehensive plans of care and functional goals.
- Documentation & EMR: Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards utilizing the McKesson EMR platform.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Provide clear verbal and written progress reports to referring physicians, and participate actively in case conferences and patient care committees.
- Academic Background: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology [Required].
- Clinical Specialty: Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA [Required].
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- State Licensure: Active, unrestricted State SLP License in good standing [Required].
- Clinical Depth: Minimum of 2+ years of pediatric SLP experience [Required] alongside comfort treating adult/geriatric populations.
- Technical Diagnostics: Hands-on, independent experience performing and interpreting Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) [Required].
- Operational Readiness: This role requires a clinician who can work independently with minimal supervision. Please note: New graduates cannot be considered for this specific assignment.
- Logistics: Candidates must have access to a reliable, personal vehicle for commuting.
