You'll be responsible for safely delivering and picking up blast plant materials, including oversized and escorted loads and transitioning into a hands-on material handling role on-site at FORJAK Industrial when deliveries aren't scheduled. This is a hybrid role that keeps you moving, and you'll do it with the integrity and ownership mindset that defines everyone at FORJAK.This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.What You'll OwnOn a given day, as a CDL Class A Driver & Material Handler, you will:Driving & Freight OperationsOperate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer to make deliveries and pickups. Load and secure freight onto FORJAK Industrial's truck and trailer at the pickup site using proper load securement techniques for various freight types and sizes; no unloading is required at customer locations.Transport oversized loads up to 53' in length, including palletized weldments and non-escorted oversized freight, in full compliance with state and federal regulations.Coordinate and execute escorted oversized load movements, working with escort vehicles, law enforcement, and permitting requirements to ensure safe and compliant transport of wide, tall, or heavy loads.Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, daily safety checklists, and all required DOT documentation accurately and on time.Adhere to all DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and FORJAK safety policies without exception on every trip.On-Site Material HandlingOperate cranes, forklifts, and telehandlers to safely handle and move materials ranging from 1 lb to 200,000 lbs when on-site at FORJAK Industrial between scheduled deliveries.Support the plant team with staging, movement, and organization of materials and equipment as needed to keep operations running efficiently.Complete daily safety checklists for all on-site equipment operated, ensuring everything is inspected and in proper working condition before use.GeneralAdhere to all company safety and work policies.Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.Do You Have What It Takes?We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.You must bring:Current and valid Class A CDL with active auto insurance.Minimum 12 months of verifiable interstate tractor-trailer experience.Must be at least 21 years of age.Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements.No chargeable DOT reportable accidents within the past 3 years.Strong understanding of load securement for a variety of freight types and sizes, including oversized loads.Willingness to work in a hybrid role, transitioning between driving and material handling as operational needs require.Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure.A team-first attitude—ego doesn't build great things; people do.Even better if you have: Experience transporting oversized or heavy-haul loads, including coordination with escorts and permitting agencies.Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or telehandlers in an industrial or plant environment.Familiarity with rigging and safe handling practices for heavy or irregularly shaped loads.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.How You'll Know You're WinningGreat FORJAK team members don't just complete tasks; they move the needle.
