Description
Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where collaboration, analysis, and continuous improvement are key? Then you could be the Cost Controller we're looking for within our Tribe Daily Banking & Client First team.
Your new role
As a Cost Controller, you will join a team of two colleagues and serve as the key finance partners. In this hybrid role, you will work onsite three days per week (Tuesdays and Fridays are fixed office days, with a third flexible day) to actively collaborate with stakeholders, support decision-making, and drive cost management initiatives. You will report to the Expert Lead Branch Mobile Sales & Business Intelligence and act as the primary point of contact for all Retail budget-related topics.
As a Cost Controller, you will:
- Monitor the follow-up of the actual expenses monthly, based on Finance & HR data (FTE, inflow/outflow, direct expenses, ICO expenses)
- Forecast the evolution of the workforce & costs, incl. monthly update
- Prepare recurrent DP discussions (centralize requests, supporting storyline)
- Coordinate and optimize the yearly cost allocation exercise
- Optimize PO management
- Coordinate changes in the HR/Finance structure where needed
- Actively collaborate with all internal stakeholders involved (SCL’s, Expert Leads, Finance, HR), incl. professional advice on optimization where needed and/or possible
How to Succeed
You are proactive, analytical, and curious by nature. You enjoy working with data, managing complexity, and collaborating across departments to find solutions. You challenge the status quo, bring fresh ideas to the table, and are comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant role, such as Cost Controller, Financial Analyst, or Auditor within a Big Four consulting firm. A finance background is a plus.
- Experience working with stakeholders across different business functions.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear and compelling business narratives.
- Ability to manage detailed information and navigate complex situations effectively.
- Current residency in Belgium and the ability to travel to the Brussels office at least three days per week.
