Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are looking for a software quality assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification and validation of complex software. You will be a key contributor in a team developing next generation solutions for our Lithography Business Unit. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of our products.

 

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Perform requirements-based and system level testing ensuring quality and efficiency for Onto's Lithography Business Unit solutions
• Analyze and verify software requirements for testability, clarity and completeness
• Develop comprehensive test plans for new features and products
• Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate issues/defects
• Develop efficient test strategies (test cases and procedures) for the different sub-systems comprising the product
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests, regression, functional, and acceptance tests
• Conduct thorough testing software to ensure high-quality and reliable operation
• Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities
• Cross-functional collaboration with software, hardware, manufacturing and applications teams to validate software
• Applicants must possess the ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to understand requirements and design test strategies and plans based on those requirements
• 2+ years in software testing and/or systems level testing for highly technical applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to design and execute test strategies and plans based on requirements and functional designs
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Linux is a plus
• Experience with TestReail is a plus
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is a plus
• Experience in a programming language such as c, python, or java is a plus
• Experience working in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech STEM industry
• Ability to travel both domestically (~10%) and internationally (infrequent and only when needed)

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$72,080.00 - $108,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.

• Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
