Year 1 Teacher
Location: Ealing, London
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Start Date: January 2027
A great opportunity is available for a Year 1 Teacher to join a school where pupils are supported as they take the next step in their education. We are seeking a teacher who can create engaging lessons, build strong relationships with children and help pupils develop confidence as they progress through Key Stage 1.
The role in brief
The successful Year 1 Teacher will play an important part in supporting children's learning across the Year 1 curriculum. You will help pupils develop strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while encouraging curiosity, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Key areas of responsibility:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

Support children's academic, social and emotional development.

Use assessment to monitor progress and adapt teaching where needed.

Create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to learn.

Work effectively with colleagues to support pupil outcomes.
This role would suit a teacher who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in England.

Has experience teaching within KS1 or a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum.

Has knowledge of phonics and early reading development.

Can provide effective classroom management and support pupil engagement.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
