Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Data Architect – Specialist with broad experience across data disciplines and a strong ability to design pragmatic, scalable data solutions. The role combines data architecture, cloud technologies, modelling, analytics, governance and hands-on technical expertise, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You will work across business data domains and collaborate with senior technical and business stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and support data architectures covering data tracking, ingestion, modelling and analytics, including AI solutions where relevant (predictive, generative, agentic AI and AI-specific infrastructure).
- Create business and technical documentation for AS-IS and target architectures, including gap analysis, with a preference for meaningful adaptations and lighter, more value-focused alternatives to traditional heavy frameworks such as TOGAF or DAMA-DMBOK.
- Design and support cross-cloud integrations and the migration or integration of on-premises legacy solutions into modern cloud-based data solutions.
- Work across business data domains such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Product and Infrastructure, engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Document and expand existing solutions and future requirements for data governance, cross-domain data management and data security.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams—including Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA, domain-specific stakeholders, developers and DevOps—in both designing data solutions and delivering the implementation.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience across a mix of data-related disciplines, including Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Architecture and/or Data Product Management.
- Exposure to different types of companies, technologies and markets—local, regional and global—is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with data architecture, data tracking, data ingestion, modelling and analytics.
- Experience with two or more data solutions across AWS, GCP and Azure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Hands-on knowledge of different data architecture types, including Medallion, Data Vault 2.0, OBT and others.
- Experience working with and designing solutions based on both SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Experience working across multiple business data domains and interacting with senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively coordinate multidisciplinary teams in both data-solution design and implementation.
- Hands-on skills with a mix of Python, SQL, DAX, M Query, GTM or similar technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI solutions, including predictive, generative or agentic AI and AI-specific infrastructure.
- Experience with cross-cloud solutions such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Experience creating common data models from multiple, high-volume, fragmented, divergent and globally distributed data source systems, with a focus on clear business outcomes.
- Experience designing and overseeing a Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation.
- Experience working with an EU institution, agency or public-sector environment, including familiarity with governance, documentation and audit expectations.
