Description
Lead a 14-bed medical-surgical ICU with a team of 28 FTEs, where you can get to know your nurses individually and stay close to patient care. If you’re a Charlotte-area critical care leader open to a move within North Carolina, this could be a great fit.
Nealy Pierce has been exclusively engaged to recruit an ICU Nurse Manager (RN) for a full-time, permanent day-shift role in Eastern North Carolina. You’ll join a 200-bed Leapfrog A rated, award winning, nonprofit community hospital affiliated with a statewide health system. The ICU has onsite intensivist coverage during weekday daytime hours and tele-intensivist support on nights and weekends.
What You’ll Lead
-
Oversee daily ICU operations, staffing, and patient care standards.
-
Coach a mix of seasoned ICU nurses and nurses earlier in their critical care careers.
-
Build clinical confidence, validate competencies, and provide bedside support when needed.
-
Partner with intensivists and hospital leaders to improve quality and patient safety.
What You’ll Bring
RN licensure, at least three years of critical care nursing experience, and at least one year of nursing leadership experience are required. A BSN is strongly preferred, but we will consider an ADN prepared candidate who is willing to complete a BSN within 3 years of start date. CCRN is preferred.
Experienced ICU charge nurses, clinical coordinators, and supervisors ready for their first manager role are encouraged to apply.
Why Join This Team?
-
Lead a general ICU with a varied patient mix and a unit size that lets you mentor nurses one-on-one.
-
Work alongside intensivists and local leaders while drawing on resources and peers across a statewide health system.
-
Make your home in Eastern North Carolina, with a smaller-community pace, local dining, historic waterfront towns, and beach weekends on the Crystal Coast.
Compensation & Relocation
Base salary up to $120K annually, depending on experience, plus an annual manager bonus of up to 10%. Relocation assistance is available.
Benefits include 30 days of PTO in your first year and medical, dental, and vision coverage. The hospital offers a 4% employer contribution to your 401(k) after six months and an additional employer contribution through a 457(b) plan after one year in management.
