Job Summary

Analyzes the effectiveness of current business processes to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement | Designs, develops or participates in the optimization of business objectives. | Develops proposals for further development of the organization to support the business strategy

Impact of the Role

General Profile - Manages professional employees and/or supervisors - Must have at least one professional expert or one supervisor as a direct report - Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty - Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges - Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from manager - Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers - Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Essential Functions

• Manages an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function.
• Utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively.
• Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives and identifies solutions to roadblocks.
• Leads strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
• Manages reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership.
• Manages the analysis of emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Business Administration or Related Degree

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel Requirements

25-50% travel likely.
