Quality Control Inspector: CWB Level 1 - Heavy Oil (RMWB)

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Quality Control  CWB Level 1 Inspectors to join our team on projects in  the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (Fort McMurray, AB).

What You Will Be Doing 

• Perform visual testing (VT) on welds and flag any defects
• Monitoring welding activities 
• Material receiving inspection
• Maintaining welder qualification records
• Maintain weld & bolt up mapping
• Redline mark-ups, and document control
• Develop and maintain quality logs, and turnover documentation
• Assisting with NDT coordination
• Assist and support quality control lead on all quality and turn over activities

What We Are Looking For

•  2+ years of progressive experience on industrial projects as a CWB Level 1
• Industrial trade credential is an asset
• Knowledge of ASME and CSA codes related to welding and pressure piping
• Proficiency using Bluebeam, Google Suite and MS Office applications 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test 
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
