Description
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager / Finance Manager to lead and manage audit engagements, oversee audit teams, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international auditing standards. The ideal candidate will have significant audit experience in Dubai/UAE, strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality audit services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute audit engagements for a portfolio of clients.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor audit teams to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Review financial statements and audit working papers in accordance with applicable auditing standards.
- Assess internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, including corporate tax and VAT regulations.
- Review and finalize audit reports and management letters.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Support business development and client acquisition initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE laws, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CIA.
- 10–15 years of audit experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE.
- Previous experience in a managerial role within an audit or accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of:
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
- UAE Corporate Tax regulations
- UAE VAT regulations
- UAE Commercial Companies Law
- Experience managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
