Description
Department: Product Management & R&D
Reports To: CEO
- P&L Ownership: Manage the complete budget, financial performance, and commercial viability of the R&D and product departments.
- Roadmap Leadership: Author, maintain, and evangelize the product feature roadmap to capture new business opportunities.
- Requirement Gathering: Collect data through deep market research, customer feedback, and presence at industry conferences.
- Technical Translation: Convert complex market requirements into clear use cases, storyboards, and technical briefs for R&D.
- SDLC Governance: Lead product delivery utilizing the Agile Software Development Life Cycle.
- Product Modernisation: Guide engineering teams through the transition of application architectures from monolithic platforms to web-based, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).
- Release Planning: Responsible for end-to-end product launch timelines, managing release notes, and product improvement reports.
- Cross-Functional Readiness: Coordinate rollout activities seamlessly across Operations, Marketing, Services, and Support teams.
- Communication Strategy: Partner with Marketing Support to deploy key messaging, demonstrations, and market positioning.
- SME Support: Serve as the definitive internal and external subject matter expert for wholesale telecom offerings.
- Presales Execution: Deliver technical product expertise during critical client pitches and support the sales channel directly.
- Training Programs: Develop and deliver concise presentations to train sales staff, support groups, and key customer accounts.
- Experience: Proven track record in a dedicated Product Management or Product Leadership role.
- Domain Expertise: Solid, deep understanding of the Telecom OSS/BSS voice and messaging market (including A2P SMS, RCS, and wholesale ecosystem).
- Client Management: Experience working directly with tier-1 operators or global clients to translate business needs into technical projects.
- Methodology: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the Agile SDLC framework.
- Technical Familiarity: Preferred background or familiarity with software development transitioning from monolithic architectures to web/SOA environments.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills to influence both highly technical R&D groups and executive-level external clients.
