Role Description

• TDI Private Bank (TDI PB) is responsible for the technology that enables the Private Bank businesses (PB Germany and International Private Bank. TDI PB teams build, enhance and operate applications and platforms that are critical to business growth, operational efficiency, service quality, and regulatory compliance.
• As part of TDI PB India (Pune Tech Centre), you will lead the build-out, innovation and execution of AI activities ;innovation strategy, and applied research for the respective domain. Key objectives include delivery of production-grade AI solutions, establishing an AI ecosystem and controls to enable trustworthy AI development across sub-domains, and enabling training & education for AI practitioners and business users across the CCA & Core Banking WM Domain in TDI PB.
• You will partner with senior stakeholders across TDI and the Private Bank to prioritize and deliver an innovation portfolio end-to-end, applying strong software engineering and MLOps practices across the full product lifecycle (discovery, build, test, release, and run).
• The role demands leadership, initiative, motivation, technical experience, and gravitas.
• You must be able to develop and influence strategic priorities for the Engineering team. You will support and consult at senior level across the bank and mobilise, guide, and direct a team of engineers to deliver complex business and technical solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• AI Lead for CCA & Core Banking Wealth Manegement Domain within  TDI PB India AI. You will work along with the engineering teams  comprising data scientists, software engineers, support engineers, MLOps specialists, and data engineers
• Built strong partnership with PB Business to drive the AI-Transformation alongside the AI targets and ambitions, defined in the PB strategy
• Transform the domain into an “AI first” driven tech departments across all regions and Tech Center
• Create an environment for creativity, high performance, and delivery
• Build an engineering culture in the team   that emphasizes ownership (build and run), high-quality delivery, and reduction of external dependency through strong hiring, coaching, and standards.
• Create and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to align innovation activity with business strategy and priorities and generate a pipeline of APAC ideas for innovation
• Strong engagement across all regions and locations in TDI PB as well as across the TDI units, such as IB/CB, DWS, Risk and others. Contribute and influence strategic direction for senior leadership using informal and formal communication.
• Drive maturity of AI delivery across the bank by embedding best practices for model risk management, testing, implementation, monitoring, and appropriate controls in line with bank standards.
• Prove the desirability, viability, and feasibility of innovation ideas through well designed experimentation
• Enable innovation in the cloud by partnering with TDI PB platform teams to provide a secure, compliant environment with access to modern cloud services and high-performance compute.
• Work with Chief Strategy Office leaders to research emerging technology and identify opportunities for experimentation and integration.
• Set a standard for data and AI engineering execution and delivery in line with the bank’s architecture principles and strategic technology selection.
• Thought leadership for the Bank’s AI/ML agenda.
• Strategic Site Direction: Develop and execute the strategic plan for the India site, aligning it with TDI PB global goals and objectives.
