Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving safety programs across all job sites. This fully onsite role ensures compliance with safety regulations, conducts inspections, delivers training, and supports a culture of safety throughout the organization. You will work closely with project supervisors, field teams, and management to prevent incidents and maintain a safe work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures.Conduct regular onsite safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for all field staff and subcontractors.Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and verify that safety protocols are being followed.Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.Collaborate with project supervisors to address safety concerns and adjust site procedures as needed.Support risk assessments and job hazard analyses for new or evolving tasks.Monitor equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they meet safety standards.Stay informed on OSHA regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.Promote a proactive safety culture by coaching team members and identifying opportunities for improvement. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or education in occupational health and safety is preferred.2–5 years of experience in construction safety, field safety coordination, or a related role.Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction site safety standards, and hazard control methods.Strong communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and influence teams.Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining thorough safety documentation.Ability to work onsite in varying weather conditions and physically navigate construction environments.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or similar are a plus. Work Environment & ConditionsFully onsite role requiring regular travel between active job sites.Exposure to outdoor conditions, construction noise, machinery, and physical activity.Requires the use of PPE and adherence to all company safety protocols.May require early starts or extended hours depending on project needs. Why Work at Outlast LLC?Join a team with a strong commitment to worker safety and operational excellence.Play a critical role in protecting employees, subcontractors, and clients.Opportunity for professional growth through certifications and expanded responsibilities.Work in a collaborative environment where safety is a shared priority.
