Logan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Triage Call Center team. In this role, you’ll use your nursing knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and clinical judgment to assess patient concerns over the phone, determine the appropriate next steps, and help patients navigate their care safely and confidently.
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative position for an RN who enjoys problem-solving, patient education, and making informed clinical decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
As an RN in the Triage Call Center, you will:
Provide telephone-based clinical triage and symptom assessment
Use your nursing judgment to determine the appropriate level of care and next steps
Review patient histories and document interactions accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with providers and other members of the clinical care team
Educate patients and provide clear, easy-to-understand instructions regarding their care
Identify, prioritize, and appropriately respond to urgent and high-risk patient concerns
Manage patient messages, routing, follow-up, and escalation as appropriate
Coordinate care and communicate important clinical information to providers
Work efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced call center environment
Help ensure patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate guidance when they need it most
What We're Looking For
Required:
Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact RN license with authorization to practice in Montana
Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, clinic, or physician office
Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Excellent verbal communication and patient education skills
Ability to prioritize urgent patient needs and make sound clinical decisions
Strong documentation, organization, and multitasking skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, telephone-based patient care environment
Ability to work collaboratively while also exercising independent nursing judgment
Preferred:
BSN
Previous telephone triage, nurse advice line, ambulatory care, or call center experience

10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The Triage Call Center operates 365 days a year
Weekend and holiday coverage is required
Day shift
Because our patients rely on the Triage team every day of the year, team members share responsibility for weekend and holiday coverage.
