Sr. Underwriting Specialist, Workers' Compensation | Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Workers’ Compensation business while maintaining established profitability and growth objectives.

• Evaluate municipal, public entity, and commercial Workers’ Compensation risks throughout Massachusetts.

• Review applications, loss runs, payroll information, experience modification factors, classifications, and other underwriting documentation.

• Analyze account exposures and determine appropriate pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage within established underwriting authority.

• Manage an assigned book of Workers’ Compensation business and monitor accounts for profitability, loss trends, and changes in exposure.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of Workers’ Compensation and/or Commercial Casualty underwriting experience.

• Prior experience underwriting municipalities, public entities, governmental organizations, or similar Workers’ Compensation risks strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation regulations, classifications, rating principles, and underwriting practices.

• Experience evaluating loss history, payroll exposures, experience modification factors, and complex Workers’ Compensation risks.

Salary & Benefits

• $120,000 - $135,000 (based on experience)
