Description
Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and subassemblies according to detailed instructions and blueprints.
- Perform repetitive tasks on an assembly line to achieve production targets.
- Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Document production activities and report any discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of assembly tools and equipment.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0-1 years' experience as an assembly technician or in a related field.
- A general understanding of manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
- Ability to comprehend/follow detailed instructions.
- Basic understanding of assembly techniques and tools.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Certification in basic soldering or electronics assembly.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Essential Functions:
- Perform assembly tasks, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Operate and maintain assembly tools and equipment, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Stand for extended periods during the work shift.
- Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
- Ability to travel may be required.
- For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
