We’re looking for a passionate and curious Team Leader to join our Assays team. If you’re excited by new challenges, solving complex problems, and learning every step of the way, you might just be the perfect fit. What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with a team of scientists in the design, validation and execution of in vitro assays for characterization of small and large molecule drug candidates
Provide direct leadership, supervision, and mentoring of a team of 8 direct reports, fostering technical growth and high performance
Apply scientific expertise to troubleshoot and resolve experimental challenges encountered in achieving defined goals, leveraging input from management and other team members to meet internal and project deadlines
Coach/mentor junior staff in experimental execution and design
Monitor team performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reporting to management on progress and outcomes
Create an engaging and collaborate team environment with an open communication culture
Serve in a project management capacity, acting as a primary point of contact for clients by delivering updates, presenting results, and preparing comprehensive reports
Build and maintain effective working relationship with stakeholders and leadership at all organizational levels
Maintain accurate, detailed laboratory records of all activities
Enforce adherence to company safety policy (including COPs and SOPs)
Who You Are:
PhD in biological sciences or a related discipline with 5 years plus experience working both independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment
Experience in supervising, managing and motivating team members is essential
Experience in the design, validation and routine implementation of cellular and biochemical in vitro assays
Experience with in vitro techniques such as cell signaling pathways, fluorescent measurement technologies (FRET, BRET, HTRF, FP) highly desirable
Experience in performing assay development, validation and execution (including data analysis) is essential
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Sigma Plot or GraphPad Prism is essential
Ability to work in a diverse cross-functional team and excellent communication skills are essential
Program Management experience highly desirable

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $113,900 to $154,100. This is a salary, exempt role. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
