Procedural Coordinator – Gynecologic Oncology (GynOnc) – Days

 

As a procedural coordinator, you will build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and practice teams while supporting our goal of providing exceptional patient care. You will be central to the center's service excellence, ensuring that patients, customers, and internal partners experience high-quality care and innovative solutions.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Surgical scheduling and coordination based on operating room availability
• Obtaining, submitting, and tracking surgical prior authorizations
• Coordinating required pre-operative testing and medical clearances
• Ensuring all pre-operative documentation is completed and received prior to surgery
• Managing procedural-related prior authorizations
• Scheduling and coordinating post-operative follow-up appointments
• Facilitating communication between patients, providers, surgical facilities, and ancillary departments

 

This is a full-time day shift (9:00AM – 5:00PM) position predominately working between Mondays – Fridays.  This position is located at the NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. 

 

Preferred Criteria 

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience with data entry required
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of surgical scheduling experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
• Ability to work independently required
