Business Overview
The Group Sales Division is a cross-functional organization dedicated to expanding the membership value and ecosystem of the Rakuten Group, which encompasses over 70 services. We lead initiatives in branding, creative, marketing, and membership.

We consider the mobile sector to be the cornerstone of our ecosystem, and as the Group Sales Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.

Department Overview

The "Device Business Department" oversees the entire lifecycle of our products, including smartphones, data terminals, IoT devices, and accessories—ranging from planning and development to sales and maintenance. We are committed to pursuing the highest level of user experience, quality, and security, ensuring that our customers can fully enjoy the Rakuten Group’s ecosystem through our products.

Our department consists of six divisions, where members from diverse backgrounds—including Japan, India, China, Taiwan, the U.S., and France—work together and inspire one another to achieve excellence.

The "Device Strategy Section," where you will be assigned, is responsible for defining the product lineup for Rakuten Mobile’s consumer smartphones and mobile Wi-Fi routers, as well as formulating and driving sales strategies. We play a pivotal role in driving Rakuten Mobile's business growth by acquiring and retaining new customers through our device offerings and maximizing overall profitability.

Position:

Position Details
You will be responsible for providing operational support and assisting the management team across two organizations under the Device Business Department (Device Strategy Section and Device Sales Section).

・Budget Management: As the Person In Charge (PIC) for the department budget, you will support budget formulation and handle coordination and negotiations with related departments, such as Procurement and Finance.

・Departmental Accounting: In addition to supporting ordering and payment processes within the department, you will perform budget vs. actual (B/A) management in collaboration with the management team.

・Meeting Management/Support: You will be responsible for preparing materials and minutes for meetings held both inside and outside the department, and providing facilitation as needed.

・Management Assistance: As an assistant to the Senior Managers of the two organizations, you will perform secretarial tasks, such as scheduling for both internal and external matters.

・Organizational Operations: You will work with the team to drive administrative tasks related to organizational operations, including HR-related procedures and support for education and training within the Device Business Department.

In the duties mentioned above, communication in both Japanese and English is essential. As stated, our department is composed of a diverse, international team, and high-level communication skills in both languages are required for daily coordination with related departments.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・At least 3 years of professional experience, or equivalent practical experience.

・Strong communication skills to work smoothly with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside the department.

・Business-level proficiency in English.

・Must reside within a commutable distance.

Desired Qualifications:

・Practical experience in budget management and budget vs. actual (B/A) management, especially in sales.

・Practical experience with PowerPoint and Excel.

・Experience working in a foreign-affiliated company or a multinational team.

・Experience in secretarial tasks or management support.
