Description
Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
The Digital Wealth Advisory Experiences team is responsible for defining and delivering experiences that help evolve how Schwab serves wealth management clients and supports the advisors who serve them. Our work spans strategic business priorities, advisor and client experiences, operating-model design, workflow enablement, and the digital capabilities required to bring those strategies to life.
We are looking for a product champion who is passionate about wealth management, solving ambiguous business problems, and translating strategy into action. This role will support a flexible portfolio of high-priority initiatives that may include advisor teaming, client segmentation, ultra-high-net-worth experiences, and other emerging priorities across Wealth and Advice.
In this role, you will work across Wealth, Retail, Technology, Operations, Product, and field teams to define future-state experiences and operating models, identify the capabilities needed to enable them, and help drive efforts from early strategy and discovery through implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong wealth-management and business acumen, practical product-management experience, and enough technical understanding to partner effectively on workflow, data, Salesforce, and integration considerations.
The Team Is Responsible For
- Defining, prioritizing, executing, and measuring the Digital Wealth Advisory Experiences roadmap and associated business outcomes
- Shaping advisor and client experiences that support the continued evolution of Schwab's wealth-management offerings
- Translating strategic priorities and future operating models into clear experience, process, workflow, data, and technology needs
- Partnering across business, product, design, operations, risk, legal/compliance, and technology teams to move complex initiatives from concept through implementation
- Designing scalable approaches that improve coordination, consistency, advisor effectiveness, and client outcomes
- Using advisor, client, business, and operational insights to inform recommendations, priorities, and investment decisions
- Driving stakeholder alignment and adapting the roadmap as business priorities and client needs evolve
What You'll Do
- Lead product strategy, discovery, and execution for a flexible portfolio of strategic Wealth initiatives, which may include advisor teaming, client segmentation, ultra-high-net-worth experiences, and related operating-model transformation efforts
- Develop a deep understanding of wealth-management clients, advisor practices, service models, specialist engagement, and operational workflows to identify opportunities and define future-state experiences
- Partner with business leaders and field stakeholders to clarify problems, test assumptions, define target outcomes, and turn broad strategies into actionable product plans
- Connect strategy to execution by translating business and operating-model decisions into prioritized capabilities, requirements, roadmaps, user stories, and measurable outcomes
- Help define how advisor teams, associate roles, specialists, and cross-functional partners coordinate around client and household needs, including the workflows and shared visibility required to support those relationships
- Support the evolution of differentiated experiences for client segments, including affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients, by connecting service-model decisions to advisor, client, process, and technology implications
- Partner with technology and architecture teams to evaluate solution options and understand dependencies involving Salesforce, workflow platforms, data, integrations, and advisor-facing experiences
- Serve as a product leader, connector, and integrator across multiple organizations, bringing structure to ambiguity and maintaining alignment among business, product, technology, operations, and field partners
- Develop recommendations informed by client and advisor feedback, qualitative and quantitative analysis, business objectives, operational realities, and product-management best practices
- Communicate strategy, priorities, decisions, progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Define success measures, monitor outcomes, incorporate feedback, and adjust the product approach as business priorities and insights evolve
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong product-management and product-strategy skills, with 7-10+ years of relevant experience; experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, fintech, or a related industry
- Demonstrated understanding of wealth-management clients, advisor practices, products, services, or operating models
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from ambiguous problem definition through strategy, requirements, implementation, and outcome measurement
- Ability to connect high-level strategy to practical execution and remain engaged in the details required to move work forward
- Experience analyzing complex business processes, service models, or operating models and translating them into scalable product, process, and technology solutions
- Strong discovery and requirements-definition skills, including the ability to synthesize business, client, advisor, operational, risk, and technology considerations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics, frame decisions and trade-offs, tell a compelling story, and present to all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, build trusted cross-functional relationships, and align stakeholders with different priorities
- Sufficient technical fluency to partner effectively with technology teams on workflows, data, integrations, platforms, and solution options
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in business, product management, finance, technology, or a related field
- High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to lead through uncertainty, competing priorities, and organizational complexity
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment
- Direct experience in wealth advisory, ultra-high-net-worth, client segmentation, advisor teaming, specialist models, or advisor/client experience design
- Experience defining or implementing new business, service, relationship, or operating models
- Experience with Salesforce or Financial Services Cloud, including advisor or client workflows, team structures, data, or integrations
- Experience leading large-scale product or business transformation initiatives in a regulated environment
- Experience partnering with field organizations, advisors, operations teams, product design, architecture, engineering, risk, legal, or compliance
- Familiarity with workflow automation, digital platforms, data-enabled experiences, or emerging technologies as enablers of business strategy
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
