Job Description

Cresco Equipment Rentals has a need for a Rental Coordinator at our Susanville, CA location.

SUMMARY

The Rental Coordinator collaborates with customers, vendors, and branch personnel to meet customer needs, ensure equipment readiness and safety, and deliver reliable and positive customer experiences. This role performs a variety of customer service, administrative, and inventory control functions to support day-to-day branch operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers, assist with customer inquiries, and suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs in person and over the phone.

• Write rental agreements.

• Produce and process rental invoices.

• Perform customer’s credit checks and insurance availability.

• Communicate equipment and attachment availability to internal and external customers.

• Create service call sheets.

• Perform inventory control and security processes, including frequent inventory counts.

• Foster customer relations to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction.

• Check equipment returning from rental for damage, record hours used, mileage, and fuel levels for billing purposes. 

• Follow up with customers via phone to obtain information required to complete rental requests.

• Maintain a working knowledge of competitor’s practices and rental rates.

• Maintain a record of all unfilled (lost) rental requests.

• Assist with equipment inspections, ensuring equipment is in good working order, preparing equipment for rental, and making deliveries.

• Assist with dispatching drivers and communicating with vendors.

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and attachments.

• Assist in the preparation of rental reports as assigned.

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, rules, and laws.

• Follow all Cresco Operational Procedures, quality control (QC) Standards, and cash accounts procedures.

• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience in customer service, preferably in the equipment rental business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Prior sales and/or customer service experience required.

• Equipment rental industry knowledge and/or experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record preferred.

The hourly pay range for this position is: $22.50 - $25.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
