Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Ronkonkoma, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a major transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to commuters, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a rail transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of station areas, platforms, facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate with site representatives and public agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
