St John of God Geelong Hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute services to the rapidly growing coastal city. The modern and up-to-date hospital has an accident and emergency department, a comprehensive surgical program supported by a 12-bed critical/intensive care unit, rapidly growing cardiology, medical, rehabilitation, and cancer services.
About the role
You will provide comprehensive care to patients on our Medical/ Oncology / Haematology and Palliative Care ward, working alongside various clinicians to provide acute medical (respiratory, renal, geriatric and general medical) and specialised cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care.
Permanent full-time role available, part-time will be considered with the opportunity for multiple candidates to be hired to fill the position. This role requires availability for all shifts (AM / PM / Night Duty / Weekends) across 7 days.

The Position
Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, with recent acute inpatient experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Oncology experience (including cytotoxic medication administration) will be highly regarded.
To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits:
Salary $67,397 to $107,881 (pro rata if part time), plus 12% superannuation
Permanent full-time or part-time positions available - hours negotiated with suitable applicants
