Field Service Engineer 1 (Non-Exempt)

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of 4D products, including assembly, function, and performance

• Troubleshoot and repair 4D systems, in the field or at the factory

• Provide customer email and phone support to address concerns and issues. If unsuccessful, gather information and escalate to other service staff.

• Complete repair jobs following work instructions, complete data sheets and associated reports.

• Position requires up to 30% travel, both in the US and international.

• Must maintain valid driver’s license

• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher with 2 years of experience in optical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience in application and integration of precision optical and optomechanical components

• Excellent analytical capability for systematic troubleshooting

• Working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, computers and common tools

• Customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-directed and reliable

• Possess good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$46,880.00 - $70,320.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.

• Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
