As a Security Officer Distribution Center in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and logistics location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs and documentation.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment and following established security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
