Johnson & Johnson develops and delivers innovative medicines to patients around the world, driven by a commitment to science, innovation and improving human health.
Within the European Distribution Hubs in Beerse and La Louvière, the Engineering, Systems & Consumables team plays a key role in continuously improving warehouse operations through innovative engineering solutions and strong collaboration with Operations, Quality and IT/OT stakeholders.
To strengthen this team, we are looking for a System Support Specialist who will help ensure the reliability, continuity and compliant operation of warehouse-related systems within highly automated and regulated distribution environments. This is an individual-contributor role focused on hands-on system support, controlled change implementation, stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and functional support for SAP eWM, eWMS and other warehouse execution and related IT/OT systems, ensuring system reliability, operational continuity, effective user support and timely resolution of incidents, requests and recurring issues in collaboration with Operations, IT, Quality and other relevant partners.
- Translate operational and business needs into structured system requirements and practical solutions, and support the intake, assessment, prioritization, risk evaluation and controlled implementation of system changes and enhancements.
- Act as change owner or core contributor for assigned enhancements, including planning, coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing, qualification and validation activities, while ensuring readiness, traceability, appropriate documentation and minimal impact on daily operations.
- Support inventory-related system processes, interface monitoring, data integrity, user-access activities and the investigation and correction of system discrepancies, helping maintain computerized systems in a compliant and validated state.
- Contribute as a subject matter expert or core team member to warehouse projects, new operational flows and system implementations; share knowledge through guidance and training, drive continuous improvement, and support planned operational events and the applicable stand-by model when required.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Relevant experience in system support, warehouse operations, supply chain or a complex industrial environment, preferably within automated distribution.
- Strong affinity with IT/OT systems and the ability to understand the interaction between business processes, warehouse execution and technology.
- Experience with incident management, issue resolution, system enhancements, testing and controlled change implementation, combined with strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, follow through on actions and escalate when needed, with a hands-on, pragmatic and quality-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions and explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with SAP eWM, eWMS and/or other warehouse management, execution or control systems.
- Experience in a GxP-regulated environment and knowledge of computerized system validation, qualification and change-control principles.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing and test-management tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management, system interfaces, user-access management and warehouse-related IT/OT hardware.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other structured continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch and/or French.
Other
Flexibility to support planned activities outside standard working hours and to participate in the applicable stand-by model is required.
