In this role, you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets diagnostic tests for allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases.

How will you make an impact?
We are looking for a Scientist R&D to join our Research & Development team in Uppsala. In this varied role, you will combine hands-on laboratory work with product data management, documentation, and laboratory support activities.
Approximately half of your time will be spent performing practical laboratory work in projects and activities, while the other half will focus on creating and maintaining accurate product information, laboratory maintenance and documentation in our internal systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining scientific work with structured administrative responsibilities and wants to contribute to products and processes that make a meaningful difference.
What will you do?
- Plan, perform, evaluate, and document laboratory experiments and activities
- Analyze results and troubleshoot technical challenges
- Add, update, and maintain product information and documentation in internal systems
- Ensure product data is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Support smooth day-to-day laboratory operations and colleagues within the team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes, and ways of working
- Work according to applicable quality, regulatory, and safety requirements
What will you need?
- Advanced degree with relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant industry or research experience
- Educational background in Biotechnology, Biomedical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Strong practical laboratory skills and experience with relevant laboratory techniques and instrumentation
- Ability to plan, execute, and analyze experiments independently
- Experience with data management, documentation, and technical writing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Confidence working with different software and data management systems
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Experience working with quality systems such as GMP, GLP, or ISO is considered an advantage.
