Amylyx has assembled an experienced team ready to take action because the communities we serve have no time to wait. If you share our passion and are determined to tackle some of medicine’s toughest problems, we encourage you to read the opportunity below and apply.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director, Insights and Analytics, the Senior Manager, Analytics will serve as the primary point of contact for commercial analytics supporting the business. This highly visible, hands-on role will deliver insights from claims and other secondary data, lead patient services analytics, provide high-level market access analytics, and help translate strategic questions into clear, actionable business recommendations.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical judgment, technical fluency, and business partnership skills. This individual will align leadership KPIs for visualization in automated dashboards, support leadership team discussions with timely ad hoc analyses, and work closely with Data Management, Information Technology, Field Analytics, Market Access Analytics, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Market Access, and other cross-functional partners to ensure insights are accurate, compliant, scalable, and decision-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial analytics leadership: Serve as the primary analytics partner to the commercial business, shaping analytical priorities, clarifying business questions, and delivering insights that inform strategy and execution.
  • Claims and secondary data analytics: Analyze longitudinal claims and other secondary data sources to assess patient journeys, treatment dynamics, market trends, customer behavior, and business performance.
  • Patient services analytics: Lead analytics for patient services programs, including defining performance measures, monitoring patient access and support pathways, identifying operational opportunities, and communicating actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Market access analytics: Provide high-level analytics on access, coverage, reimbursement, payer dynamics, and related barriers to support market access and broader commercial decision-making.
  • Leadership dashboards and KPI alignment: Partner with business leaders to define, prioritize, and govern key performance indicators for automated leadership dashboards, ensuring consistent metric definitions and decision-ready visualization.
  • Ad hoc decision support: Deliver rapid, high-quality analyses for leadership team discussions, clearly framing findings, implications, limitations, and recommended actions.
  • Analytical planning and prioritization: Maintain an analytics roadmap that balances recurring reporting, strategic projects, and emerging business needs while setting clear expectations on scope, timing, and deliverables.
  • Data quality and governance: Work closely with Data Management and Information Technology to translate business requirements into sustainable data solutions, validate outputs, resolve data issues, and promote consistent use of governed data and metrics.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Field Analytics, Market Access Analytics, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Market Access, and other partners to integrate perspectives and avoid duplication across analytical workstreams.
  • Communication and influence: Translate complex analyses into concise narratives and visual outputs tailored to senior leaders and cross-functional audiences, influencing decisions through clear, objective, and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, data science, public health, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7+ (BA/BS), 5+ (MA/MS), 3+ (PhD) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, consulting, commercial analytics, market research, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing pharmaceutical or healthcare claims and other secondary data, with the ability to assess data fitness, limitations, and appropriate interpretation.
  • Experience in sales, patient services, patient access, hub, reimbursement, or market access analytics strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to define business metrics and requirements and partner with data and technology teams to develop, validate, automate, and improve dashboards and recurring reporting.
  • Proficiency with Excel and presentation tools; experience with SQL, business intelligence or data visualization platforms, and pharmaceutical data sources is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex findings, present to leadership, and build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Location and Conditions:

  • At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations related to health insurance coverage and state tax regulations, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. Currently, we are not considering applicants from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan and Tennessee.
  • You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested, which may include travel by air, driving or public transportation.
  • You must have access to work in setting that meets all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to communication via video conference, etc.) at your remote location.
