Role Overview

As part of our BSc programmes, we are seeking a Teaching Assistant for Management Principles to support the module leader in introducing first-year students to the principles and practice of management. The module is a foundation for many of the modules that follow and is shared across several programmes, including Business Creation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Global Commerce, Management and Data Science, Digital Economics and Finance, International Business Studies, and AI & Sports Management. It covers management processes and relationships, leadership and decision making, teamwork and negotiation, organisational behaviour and culture, human resource management, and business structures and typologies.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support and assistance to students and faculty, helping first-year students connect core management theories with real-world examples and building their confidence in a supportive, developmental and well-scaffolded learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

•       Assist the module leader in the delivery of lectures, seminars, group discussions and case study activities (36 teaching hours in presence at the H-Farm Campus)

•       Support students during in-class activities, group work and case study analysis, helping them understand key concepts such as management processes, leadership, motivation, team dynamics and conflict resolution

•       Assist students in developing academic skills, including research, use of literature, critical reading, academic writing and Harvard referencing, with particular attention to the literature review assessment

•       Support the organisation and invigilation of the two in-class mid-term tests and assist with marking and feedback under the guidance of the module leader

•       Help prepare and update teaching materials, slides, readings, case studies and content on the virtual learning environment (VLE)

Qualifications & Experience

•       C1 level of English (teaching language)

•       A Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, or a related field (Ph.D. candidates are welcome to apply)

•       Good knowledge of management theory, leadership models, organisational behaviour and HRM

•       Previous experience as a teaching assistant, tutor or in student support roles is a plus

•       Professional experience in management, HR or entrepreneurship is a plus

•       Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with a patient, student-centred and inclusive approach

•       Ability to work collaboratively within a teaching team and in a multicultural environment

•       Passion for supporting students as they build strong foundations for their future studies and careers

What We Offer

• Contract type: freelance collaboration, or coordinated and continuous collaboration contract (co.co.co.)
• Compensation: €3,500 gross for the whole module. For VAT-registered professionals, VAT and social security contributions are added where applicable.
