  • Define and steer commercial KPIs for pipeline, revenue, market development, customer satisfaction, retention, and strategic partnerships.
  • Translate company strategy into clear market priorities, account plans, ownership, and measurable execution.

US business development & strategic partnerships
  • Identify, originate and develop strategic partnerships with US financial institutions, broker-dealers, ATS operators, issuers, asset managers, custodians, market makers, infrastructure providers, and fintech partners.
  • Build a qualified US opportunity pipeline and establish 21X within the institutional capital-markets ecosystem.
  • Lead senior-level partner discussions from initial engagement through commercial structuring and long-term relationship development.
  • Leverage a relevant US network to create access, accelerate market validation, and secure launch and distribution partners.

Sales & revenue growth
  • Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, business-case development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Design scalable sales structures, account segmentation, pipeline governance, and forecasting processes for the US and international markets.
  • Take responsibility for commercial targets and provide transparent, data-based forecasts to executive management.
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to turn institutional requirements into commercially viable solutions.
  • Customer success & relationship management
  • Ensure a first-class institutional customer experience across onboarding, launch, adoption, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with C-level decision-makers and senior market practitioners.
  • Create a structured voice-of-customer approach and ensure market feedback is translated into prioritised product and service improvements.
  • Develop customer-success standards that support adoption, retention, referenceability, and expansion.

Marketing, PR & market positioning
  • Shape the US market narrative and value proposition together with Marketing & Communications and executive management.
  • Represent 21X at industry conferences, client roundtables, panels, and selected media engagements.
  • Build thought leadership around tokenised securities, digital market infrastructure, DLT-based trading and settlement, and cross-border market connectivity.
  • Ensure consistent positioning across business development, sales materials, campaigns, partnerships, and external communications.
  • Market & competitive intelligence
  • Monitor US market structure, customer demand, competitive developments, and regulatory trends relevant to broker-dealers, alternative trading systems, digital asset securities, and tokenisation.
  • Assess market opportunities across North America, Europe, and selected APAC markets and translate insights into prioritised commercial actions.
  • Provide executive management with concise recommendations on market entry, partnerships, pricing, positioning, and resource allocation.

Your profile

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in US capital markets, including substantial leadership responsibility in Sales, Business Development, Global Markets, Customer Success, or a comparable commercial function.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling institutional market activities, commercial teams, strategic partnerships, and complex enterprise sales pipelines.
  • Deep knowledge of US securities markets, trading workflows, market infrastructure, and the institutional ecosystem across buy-side, sell-side, and infrastructure providers.
  • Strong understanding of broker-dealer and ATS environments and familiarity with the roles of the SEC, FINRA, and relevant US market-structure requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of digital assets, tokenised securities, stablecoins, distributed-ledger technology, and DLT-based business models.
  • A strong, active network among US banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, issuers, custodians, market makers, exchanges or ATSs, and capital-markets technology providers.
  • Executive presence and proven communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills at C-level and board level.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking combined with a hands-on, outcome-oriented leadership style and the ability to perform in a scale-up environment.
  • Native-level or business-fluent English; German or another European language is an advantage.
  • Based in the United States with willingness to travel internationally.
