Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and materials, and supporting access control processes. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and materials entering the facility in accordance with established procedures; verify credentials and direct authorized persons to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted-area access, escalating unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, visitor records, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
