Lead a High-Performing Service Department
Larson Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager who knows how to lead people, drive performance, and create an exceptional experience for both customers and employees.
This is an opportunity to take the lead of one of our 9 service departments and make a measurable impact. We are looking for someone who understands the pace and demands of a busy dealership service operation and can bring together advisors, technicians, and support staff to keep the department productive, profitable, and focused on the customer.

What You'll Be Responsible For
As Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day performance and overall success of the service department. You will work closely with dealership leadership and the Director of Fixed Operations to establish goals, improve department performance, and maintain a strong customer experience.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of approximately 30–40 service employees
- Managing the daily workflow and production of a busy service drive
- Forecasting department goals, objectives, and performance
- Developing and managing the department's monthly operating budget
- Monitoring productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, and other key performance indicators
- Maintaining reporting required by dealership leadership and the manufacturer
- Hiring, training, coaching, motivating, and developing service department employees
- Delegating work effectively and holding team members accountable for performance
- Conducting performance evaluations and addressing employee performance or disciplinary matters when necessary
- Partnering with the General Manager and dealership leadership to achieve strong CSI results
- Following up on unsold service customers and identifying opportunities to improve retention
- Providing consistent, professional, and enthusiastic leadership
- Ensuring the department operates in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties as needed to support the dealership and service operation
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a leader who understands automotive service operations and knows how to earn the trust of both employees and customers.
The strongest candidates will bring:
- Automotive dealership service experience
- Previous leadership or management experience within a service department
- Experience as a Service Advisor, Technician, or in another hands-on fixed operations role
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee-development skills
- The ability to manage a fast-paced department while maintaining attention to customer experience and operational results
- Experience working with dealership performance goals, budgets, and manufacturer expectations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CDK and/or WI Advisor is a plus

Compensation
$100,000 - 180,000 annually, depending on manufacturer and applicable compensation plan.
Actual compensation may vary based on dealership/manufacturer assignment, experience, qualifications, and the applicable compensation structure.
Larson Automotive Benefits
Larson Automotive Group offers a comprehensive group medical insurance program to eligible full-time employees. Coverage begins the first of the month following completion of 60 days of continuous employment. Employees may choose from four medical plans designed to accommodate different needs and budgets, including one plan available at no employee premium cost.
Benefit-eligible employees also receive company-paid $10,000 Life Insurance and $40,000 AD&D coverage. Employees must maintain an average of at least 32 hours per week to be considered full-time for benefit eligibility.
Additional voluntary benefit options include vision, dental, supplemental life and AD&D, long-term disability, short-term disability, accident, hospital, and pet insurance.
Larson Automotive Group also provides employees with access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This confidential third-party resource provides support and referrals for a variety of personal needs, including counseling, financial difficulties, substance abuse, mental health concerns, family matters, and more, at no cost to the employee.
Retirement
Our 401(k) retirement plan is available to eligible employees age 21 and older after completing two months of employment. Employees are automatically enrolled at a 3% contribution rate, which increases by 1% annually for the first three years unless the employee elects otherwise.
Larson Automotive Group currently matches 50% of the first 4% contributed by the employee. Employees may also elect a flat-dollar contribution amount, and a Roth contribution option is available. Employees may change or opt out of their contributions in accordance with plan terms.
Paid Time Off & Holidays
Hourly and salaried employees receive six paid holidays each year.
Employees begin accruing PTO from their first day worked and become eligible to use accrued PTO after 90 days of employment.
Current PTO accrual rates are:
- First 2 years: 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked
- 3–10 years: 1.53 hours of PTO for every 40 hours worked
- 10+ years: 2.30 hours of PTO for every 40 hours worked
