About The Opportunity
Responsible for all activities in the production area including personnel, materials, machines, incoming products or services, outbound shipments of products or services and compliance with all Federal and State regulations governing the facility, its employees, and the like.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Staffs, trains, develops and enforces company policy and procedures for all production employees on all shifts.
- Insures accurate two-way communication by attending or holding meetings, issuing memorandum that enhance the production activity.
- Insures the execution of production schedules according to President/General Manager or Corporate policy and procedure.
- Regularly confers with President/General Manager keeping him informed of all activity, seeking advice and direction and instruction as deemed necessary and appropriate.
- Willingly participates with all departments and activities as needed, requested or expected.
- Maintain an inventory system which is easy to use and efficient to insure minimal scrap, storage, and required production can be met.
- Provide all data and documentation required by other areas in the execution of their duties as related to the production activity.
- Continually strive to develop better ways and means of enhancing the production, assembly and secondary processes geared toward profitability
- and efficiency.
- Present a professional image to all contacts, internal and external.
- Develop and maintain the highest levels of employee morale.
- Provide safety training and equipment to personnel ensuring a safe production area.
- Works cooperatively with professionalism with all engineering personnel ensuring maximum product quality is achieved according to company and customer requirements.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities as assigned may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning; assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervises all manufacturing personnel except Tooling and Maintenance.
Quality Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Attributes:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
