SUMMARY
As Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy you will play a crucial role in regularly partnering and engaging with executive leadership team, business unit leadership and other stakeholders to shape strategic direction, drive portfolio-level initiatives, navigate complex business environments and build disciplined strategy execution capabilities across the organization.
With approximately 8+ of relevant experience, the Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy brings deep expertise in corporate and business-unit strategy, operating model design, and the ability to effectively guide matrixed project teams to deliver desired results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategic business planning and analysis
Serve as a key thought partner in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing new strategic business opportunities, with frequent exposure to and interaction with executive leadership.
Develop and deliver insightful market, competitive, and financial analyses to inform short- and long-term strategic planning; translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
Develop robust business cases and financial models, including scenario analysis and forecasts, evaluate strategic options, quantify value creation, and support investment decisions.
Monitor performance of strategic initiatives against targets; track KPIs, identify risks and variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
Market entry, business development, and corporate development
Systematically scan, identify, and assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities by business, geography, and region, ensuring alignment with the enterprise strategic plan and portfolio priorities.
Conduct rigorous, fact-based analysis of market trends, customer requirements, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, technology advancements, and new product innovations.
Support corporate development efforts including target screening, due diligence, deal structuring, partnerships, and post-merger integration.
Business transformation
Partner with business leaders and Project Managers to scope, design, and execute large-scale transformation initiatives that align with the strategic plan and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Apply disciplined project and program management practices to develop charters, detailed project plans, timelines, resource plans, and risk/issue logs; track progress against milestones and escalate concerns as needed.
Develop compelling written communications (white-papers, PowerPoint) to gain alignment and approval from C-suite
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field required.
Advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred but not required.
8+ years of relevant professional experience, with a significant portion in management consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic planning.
Strong executive presence and communication skills—able to distill complex ideas into concise, compelling narratives and present recommendations in an executive setting.
Demonstrated track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder strategy projects from conception through execution, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Significant digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard is required. Use of oral communication to perform work is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an open office concept. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
